Dr. Kevin Ianson & Dr. Brewster Scott are pleased to be able to offer laboratory testing services for food sensitivities through Rocky Mountain Analytical.

These tests are different from your regular scratch test you would receive from an allergist which is looking for acute markers of immune reaction (IgE antibodies). The Rocky Mountain Analytical Food Sensitivity Test is looking for IgG antibodies which occur as a delayed reaction taking hours or sometimes days to develop. As such, these delayed reactions can make it difficult for a person to determine which foods triggered their symptoms and testing can help to eliminate the guesswork.

From the time he was young, Evan was interested in helping others. As he grew he was known to his family and friends as a person who was good with his hands. Whether providing leadership and encouragement to classmates, or assisting his father in making and fixing things, Evan’s natural empathy and skill with his hands was sought after by others.

In 2010, after working at the Toronto Stock Exchange for 7 years, he began to think seriously about changing career paths. Evan wanted a more direct, hands on method to connect with people and help them move through life in a vibrant, healthy way. Later that year he was accepted to the Massage Therapy program at Humber College. Over his 3 years of study, and during his practice, Evan has gained experience with a range of diverse clients from infants and palliative patients, to high level athletes and the seriously ill.

In addition to massage and spending time with his family, Evan enjoys working out and playing with his daughter. When he’s not involved in his massage therapy practice, he can often be found hiking one of the many trails around Victoria, a much more nature filled city then his native Toronto.

Dr. Brewster Scott, ND, R.TCM.P graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in Vancouver, BC and has been a naturopathic physician in good standing with the CNPBC since 2011. She completed her Diploma of Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine through Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC, and has been a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner with the CTCMA since 2019.

Dr. Scott is passionate about providing personalized solutions to your health issues. There is no “one size fits all” model when it comes to naturopathic medicine or traditional Chinese medicine. Each person expresses sub-optimal functioning in their own unique ways. We all have unique challenges, and although there are some generalized treatments that may help more than one person, your lifestyle, stressors, genetics/constitution, personal experiences and the cause of your sub-optimal function, deeply affect how you respond to interventions. Oftentimes these factors mean you may need something more tailored than a generalized recommendation.
